People get pissed at computers, in part because they ALWAYS work logicially; you can only get out what you put in, and if your syntax is off, or you just ask the wrong sort of question, your results are whacked.
When you work WITH computers all the time, you have to become just as logical. People come to you and ask questions that might be easy to address with some level of common sense and/or assumptions about what they mean, but you have to run through all this extraneous BS about how they went about evaluating or analyzing the problem. Hence, people start to hate working with you as much as they hate their computers.
